“Furiously riding Prowls spike into the setting sun - that’s how I roll.”
Things on my agenda……
well hello there
(Source: dirty-tf-secrets)
Well then…
I usually post to pivix just for shits and giggles, and was sure my Drift pic would have the best response of anything I posted there ever.
Apparently, though, Drift has been dethroned by landslide by Prowl holding his frozen spark in his hand. How da funk did that happen??
No, brain…stop it

STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters… S.T..R …
My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a party, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. (they offered to call an ambulance)
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid’s husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital. At 6:00 pm, Ingrid passed away.
She had suffered a stroke at the party. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today.
Some don’t die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this…
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.
RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Remember the ‘3’ steps, STR . Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster.
The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions :
S * Ask the individual to SMILE ..
T * = TALK. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (eg ‘It is sunny out today’).
R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS .
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call the ambulance and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
NOTE : Another ‘sign’ of a stroke is
1. Ask the person to ‘stick’ out their tongue.
2. If the tongue is ‘crooked’, if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.
A prominent cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.
And it could be your own.First reblog post that actually saves a fucking life.
This is a life-saving post.
the more you know
yeah don’t think that this can’t happen to you or someone you know if they’re young. my cousin’s wife is 33 and she had a stroke last year
I’ve had a stroke. It happens to people, and the more you know about this kind of stuff, the better.Because it could be important to know.
LIVE SAVING. WOOOAHH. REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG
Had a family member almost die of one, so signal boosting because you never know when you could save a life.
Remember:

For hunjeok! She requested Xaaron and I had to break the moleskine again.
I’m convinced Xaaron obtained a pad full of Poetron’s material and this is his favorite and most ironic piece.

Freedom to achieve and freedom to grow.
Freedom to speak and freedom to listen.
Freedom to act based on a wise decision.”OH MY GOD ♥♥♥♥♥
I’ll that that as an ‘I likes’?

there is no title only Zuul: I certainly hope...
…that people who download comics intend to actually buy them.
Especially when it comes to books me and friends of mine are on.So much this. I’m not an artist but I go to cons and I can’t imagine looking you or Casey or Alex or Livio in the eye knowing I’d basically stolen from…
Considering I am in another country with no actual established distribution for IDW’s titles and thus every comic I want has to be imported, I often end up with a digital copy and a hard copy because I have to wait at least a week longer than release date for my fix.
Now that IDW is releasing more of their comics in digital format I’m getting mine digital, unless I really, really want the hard copies (basically…if Prowl’s on it, I’ll get the hard copy >_>;; ) And of course, I do get the paper tradeback volumes of my favorites.
If I’m unconvinced about a series before buying, I usually have a friend of mine lend me his copy to decide.
“I hate how some fanfiction writers depict Firestar as a horrible bitch just to make the pairing of Inferno x Red Alert ‘work.’”
I hate to sound callous but welcome to fandom? TF is far from the only fandom where female “competition” characters are violently bashed and viciously mischaracterized to “make room” for slash pairings. Hell, it’s lighter in TF fandom than in others simply because of the dearth of female characters, but that certainly doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
I’m not sure that relative rarity makes it any better, though. Sure, there’s a lot more females needing to be shoved aside, say in Avatar the Last Airbender or Harry Potter to make way for the (fairly obviously canonically intended) het ships, but that doesn’t make Transformers ‘better’ than another fandom.
I know I’ve had issues about choosing as my ‘main’ fandom the one that has so few females. Sometimes I feel like a bad feminist because the canon ‘fridges’ most of the women for me.
But what most distresses me, honestly, about TF canon is how rigidly it and fans embrace a rigid sexual dyadic relationship—the force of pairings often trumps alternate configurations of relationships. Why have to have TWO genders and pair bonds that either are one of each or both the same in a canon where gender is a bit…slippy to begin with? Why NOT have Optimus/Elita/the other character as a trigendered threesome? Why must we fridge the female when we don’t have to? Why NOT Sam/Mikaela/Bumblebee?
TF itself has a lot of relationships fandom wise that do work in more than just pairs. I find one of my personal ‘not my flavor’ coming from the pairs such as Sunstreaker + Sideswipe / whoever fills the sandwich. Or the Jet Twins/Filling (this only because I really have a bit of an issue with the whole twins = joined at the hip concept, but that is an observation for another day)
I think one of the main problems with Firestar, since she seems to be one of the primary receivers of the vilifying virus, is how obvious it is for her over all others that her sole purpose —the only reason she even exists, was to be paired off to Inferno and this happened, at least from what I can remember of the cartoon’s airing order, after that episode that had the Inferno/Red Alert moment.
It is pretty obvious all the girls are there for the same reason, but the others do manage to stand out in a certain way I personally feel Firestar didn’t.
And this brings me to what a shame it is Dreamwave kicked the bucket when they were about to introduce the ladies, the perspective they were going for with them was awesome and intriguing, even if Firestar was still pretty much a background character in what little is known.
